Privacy notice
Last updated 12 August 2026.
This explains what Prime Shine Exterior Care does with your details when you use this website. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ring us on 07930 015574.
Who we are
Prime Shine Exterior Care, an exterior cleaning business based in Rhyl, Denbighshire. We are the data controller for the details you give us here. Contact: [email protected] or 07930 015574.
What we collect, and when
Only what you type in. Nothing is collected in the background beyond the visitor counts described in our cookie notice.
- Booking a quote visit: your name, mobile number, email, the property address and postcode, the property type, which services you want, your answers to the questions about the job, any access notes, any message, and the date and time you picked.
- Photos, if you choose to add them: up to five pictures of the surfaces you want cleaned. This is optional and you can skip it.
- Sending the plain enquiry form: your name, number, email, postcode and message.
- Automatically: which advert or search brought you here, if any, and a one-way scrambled version of your IP address. We keep the scrambled version, not the address itself, and it is only used to stop the form being abused.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Because you asked us to quote for work. In data protection terms that is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For the optional marketing tick box, it is your consent, and you can withdraw that at any time by telling us.
What we do with it
We use it to arrange your visit, price the job, and get back to you. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Who else touches it
- Catalyst Bridge Ltd builds and hosts this website and the booking system, on a server in London. They handle your details only to keep the site running.
- Google, because our confirmation emails and our diary run on a Google account, and our booking calendar is a Google Calendar.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the website to keep it fast and to block attacks.
- Telegram, because a job alert goes straight to a phone the moment you send an enquiry, so we see it while we are out working. The alert carries your name, number, email and what you told us.
Everyone above is bound to keep it secure and use it only for what we have asked them to do.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and bookings: two years from your last contact with us, so we have a record of quotes and work done.
- Photos you upload: ninety days, then a job on our server deletes them automatically. Long enough to quote and do the job, and no longer.
Photos of your property
Photos you send stay private. They are stored outside the public website, and the only way to view one is a single signed link in the email that goes to us, which stops working after thirty days.
Separately, we sometimes take before and after photos of our own work for the website and social media. We ask first, and you can say no. If a photo of your property is already up and you want it taken down, ask us and we will remove it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it within one month, free of charge.
If you think we have got it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Booking details are stored on the server in a location that is not reachable from the web, and the forms have spam and abuse protection on them. No system is perfect, but if something did go wrong and it put you at risk, we would tell you.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top.
